Suddenly I found that I have lost my way in this city. The streets and the thousands of colours all bleed into one I fall down, heaven wont help me I call out, no one would hear. All of a sudden I have lost my way out of the city. I'll stand tall, i'll stand proud. Every beginning is breaking its promise. I am having trouble just finding some soul in this town.

The names on the faces in places they mean nothing to me. Its all they can do to be part of the queue in this town. I fall down, heaven wont help meI call, out no one will hear. There'll be no tomorrow they say, well I say mores the pity. I'll stand tall, I'll stand proud. Every beginning has broken its promise. I am having trouble just finding my soul in this town. But Ill keep on trying, I'll keep on trying

Bye Bye Bill McCai

Family taught him right from wrong, they told him local tales and children’s songs. Sunday school was his shelter, with his friends Joe and Walter.

Now those days seem far away. An empty swing where he once played. Now Bill’s grown so fat and bald. He never thought that he’d grow old
And everyday when he gets the train, looks out the window and thinks in vain, "If I could only be that boy again".

His sales job it gets him down, same old faces, same old sounds. Heart attacks, orthopaedic backs. Documents in labelled racks. His wife can’t stand the sight of him, with his routine glass of gin, She makes his lunch of processed ham, And waits in for the meter man.

Another day, another gin, his kids don’t even notice him. Something different about his face, His happy smile seems out of place. His family gathered round for tea, eyes fixed on their new tellyNewsflash came, then it saidBill McCai was just found dead. No more windows, no more trainsHung himself out in the rain, now he’ll never be that boy again. And we say bye-bye Bill McCai

British Invasion

There are groups at the top of the charts that are hailed as the saviours of rock'n'roll and all that, but they are amateurs. They don't know where the music comes from, I wouldn't even think about playing music if I was born in these times. I'd probably turn to something like mathematics. That would interest me. Architecture would interest me. Something like that.
I am rock and roll fan for quite a long time, I love the old bands, Nirvana, Beatles, Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd.

I ashamed that people in my genaration, who call themselves true rock fans nowdays are actually F*cking Posers. Do you think being a rock fan is about wearing black studded belts, F*cking Ray Ban Glasses and torn jeans. Nah kids, your absolutely wrong, there are more to it than that.

The new-age rock bands we hear and watch on the television. They make pure sh*te music. Their lyrics don"t have an effect on someone feelings, someone's soul, someone's rebel. Their Sh*te albums don't change the face of music. 10 years ago there were only a handful of bands, but they all started a revolution, but in the year 2004, there were thousands of bands, but none did justice to the genre.
If all the rock legends were to be alive, they would be sad that their legacy for Rock music have been lost in the years. The passion they had. Now Rock is the new Pop. Even my F*cking slut neighbour is listening to The Strokes.

The greatest day in my life

I arrived at the venue just after lunch time, I was very impatient, it was my first Oasis concert, I have waited to see them a decade. I was in the first row among the crowd, standing between Liam and Noel. When f*cking in the bushes roared, everyone was going wild. Liam’s voice was it top form, he made his presence felt. Noel was a little quiet, surprisingly quieter that I thought. Probably he is just disappointed with the sound system that they have in the Indoor stadium. They played mainly new songs from their latest album. Surprisingly there were no songs from the album “Be Here Now” being played. All the songs from Don’t believe the truth, sounded much better live. I really like the opening song, “Turn up the sound”. It was a pretty sight to see, that Oasis are back in the scene

I came to the Oasis concert with a bunch of friends. One of my friend’s sisters, brought, a union jack flag and a poster that read, “Make me pregnant Liam, my boyfriend says its ok”. Probably she got the attention of Liam, because we were standing so close to the stage. She was invited on stage and she received a tambourine from Liam and got to kissed Noel on the cheeks.

Oasis ends their set, with a cover of My Generation. I thought then, the night was over, but I didn’t know that sometimes dreams may come true. My friend knew all-along which hotel Oasis was staying. After the gig, we went straight to their hotel and waited in the lobby. First to arrive was Liam and Andy Bell. I shook hands with my all-time hero, and get to take pictures with him. I begged Liam to come back to Singapore and he just smiled. Noel looks very exhausted, he didn’t speak much but he willingly signed for everyone. My dreams came true, I got to hold Liam’s tambourine, grab hold of the set list and see my heroes’ in-person. I hope they will come back again to this tiny little island, during their next tour.
